VOL.
A visual identity built around
the body as interface.
Request :: Develop an identity that avoids the usual associations of the massage and wellness category — spa aesthetics, hands, stones, leaves, and wabi-sabi references. The goal was to create an intelligent, conceptual, and distinctive brand that reflects a new standard of service and client experience through a thoughtful, personalized approach, while encouraging a more conscious attitude toward health and self-care.
Solution :: VOL was reimagined not as a traditional massage practice, but as a physical studio operating as a recovery system. At the core of the concept is the idea of the human body as a complex instrument — approached not through mysticism or ritual, but through precise state calibration.

Each session was treated as a customizable preset, where the key variables — pressure, duration, sound environment, light, and atmosphere — were adjusted according to a specific goal and desired effect.

This logic became the foundation of the identity. The visual system is built around the idea of transformation — before / after — translating the recovery process into a more precise, contemporary, and conceptual language.
I defined the concept and led the visual development of the identity.
